The point I'm attempting to make is against those who simply say 'TRs are in the TR forum' - having rules that are enforced no matter what - particularly for engaging content like this which was appropriate for this forum will make this place less interesting. It's a paper cut - but enough of them really hurt.

I also frequent the MoneySavingExpert site. I've virtually stopped visiting due to a lack of interesting threads. A login to the credit card forum will guarantee a mix of threads - several 'which credit card is right for me' (without any detail on their situation) - several 'I've been ripped off' (when they haven't) and probably one 'can I claim on section 75 for this' query. Seeing that combination every day/week gets boring.

There will be an occasional thread on a new credit card. That's of interest - but it's occasional.

A lack of engaging content means I've stopped going and I'll miss that thread that is of interest.

I think the moderators here do a very good job of keeping the BA forum clean and bringing in queries from other forums to this one. I just, personally, think this call was a bad one and stifled an interesting thread.
I like the TR but I don't have time to read them. I tend to view them when I am sat at the airport for instance. If someone wanted to view the TR then they would view the TR section. If they are left in the BA section the are hidden.

I agree about mse forum which is a mess. I just wait for the emails from Raffles who tells me what I need to know. I do admit I haven't been very good with viewing his site this year either. I only worry about travel credit cards anyway.
