yes, if you sign up for AI FFP, you get 10kgs extra..offically you need to "activate" the ffp before you get 10 kgs which is basically after you take your 1st flight.. BUT folks have reported just having the ffp number in the ticket works and that airport folks dont verify whether its the 1st trip or not..

Depends on the checkin agent I would say.. Also, if its 20kgs allowed and you carry 21/22 max you should be fine most of the time unless your carry on is also over limit..
If you try to checkin 25 then most probably they will ask you to pay extra..
