Hmmm, good point, curious to know if there are issues with this as I almost always buy a bottle or two and about half the time drink one in the lounge if travelling with friends and have never had a problem so far (but of course, I've not had a flight cancelled during these events either!) Would be good to know if this would be a legal issue in such cases.

I do have to add that I consider myself to be outside the UK when I am airside as I have to clear border and passport (landing card) paperwork when a cancellation does happen, even if I haven't left the airport....
