So after a couple of years of falling 200 TPs short of gold, thanks to the collective advice of FT, I have finally made it to gold this year

Had the last required TPs post this morning (surplus from AY and CX still to post), which was good as my year end is also today, but herein lies the problem...

Flying on an award ticket this evening, and I am guessing that my status will not have 'refreshed' by then. On BAEC still showing as Silver in the 'your account' section, but in the 'My Executive Club Tier Points' section shows as 'you have achieved gold membership'

Through diligent study of previous posts, I know that the refresh will take 2-3 days (so at least in place for the return from JFK). Does anyone have recent experience of chances of getting into T5 GF by showing the BAEC screen?

I can probably live with one last visit to GC, but Mrs mcinverness is a far bigger fan of champagne than I and this trip to NYC is a bit of a peace offering after a few weeks of even more heavy duty travel than usual (1st 1200 TPs were all on ET 10 TP short hauls...)

Any advice welcome, otherwise I will just have to persuade here to tolerate the GC champagne offering !
