Thanks, I sure hope so, I'd hate to get stuck in the airport (even with lounge access) for that long - and I took the long layover on purpose to be able to check out Addis for a day.

I understand that people arriving in ADD must be on the first outgoing flight in order to be eligible for the free transit package, and that will be true for me . You're right that there's also an afternoon KGL - ADD flight (4 hours in transit at ADD) as well as the early morning one that I booked. This is the first time I've read that the inbound flight must also be the one with the shortest possible connection.
