Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately my experiences with low-end Samsung devices have been unequivocally terrible. While the Galaxy S3 Mini was once $500+

The Moto G is getting too large for my taste and I'm actually using a Lumia 520 at this very moment, but I'm inclined to stick with Android because it's what my parents use and I need to be at least familiar enough with it to help them.
