OP, I think you have a couple of potential issues here. The first is the OJ between regions (TPE/ICN). The second is the routing to North Asia via Japan. Those can both cause problems. I have succeeded in booking both and I have been refused both. You can probably get this itinerary booked if you have enough patience to keep calling until you find an agent who's willing to hang in there until it prices as a single RT.
Tired HUCA 5 times now and still no go as they kept coming up with errors so they automatically assume the entire trip can't be booked as RT with one stopover and 2 OJ.
Also gave it several tries on line using United site but also coming up with errors.
Facing a losing battle here as Currently still have seats for family of 3 for all segments in coach (sorry as only have enough miles for 3 in coach). But any more delays could see the at least one or more seats taken on any of the segments which will kill the entire trip.
Never tried it before but if I only booked the segments that work then call United to try and book the rest, how do I keep the portions I book online on hold until I get a rep that could figure it out? And will there still be the phone in booking fee for 3 people? PM me if you have any ideas.
