Hi everyone,

I have just tried to upgrade my travel agent booking from WTP to CW using avios but been told that because my ticket is booked into a BT fare type it isn't eligible. This is made very clear on the BAEC website and I don't have issue with it.
I am concerned that I wasn't told this by my travel agent, and this wasn't visible on any of the documentation they sent me concerning the fare type the ticket was booked into. I guess the 'tour' part of the name is misleading to me as I only booked a flight with the TA and no other extras. Had I seen this and realised it wasn't booked into a regular fare class I probably wouldn't have booked it.

Is this a common thing with TA bookings? Should they have told me?
