Just left Turtle Bay after a quick 2 day stay and honestly glad we weren't there any longer. Location is amazing, room was nice enough, and the view from the room was very good. Other than that the place ranges from OK to poor. I'm at the Andaz Maui now and the two hotels don't even compare!

Turtle Bay has a mediocre pool, very inconsistent (at best) staff, and a baffling amount of indoor space. Andaz Maui and Grand Hyatt Kauai do a great job of opening up common areas to the outside, while Turtle Bay seems to go out of their way to close off as much as possible. Not sure if it is North Shore thing or an older building thing, but way too much is glassed in an air conditioned there.

I will not be returning to Turtle Bay.
