I want to fly from the east coast direct to hnl no west coast stop. I don't want domestic first class seats on a 9 plus hour flight. I have found 2 options: united out of ewr. Delta out of atlanta.
I have been watching fares for booking with cash. Delta is usually between 2500 to 2800 per ticket. United hovers around 3000 per ticket. Even American out of DFW is between 2800 and 3000 per ticket.
I can go for less on planes with domestic first with west coast stops, but I don‘t want that.
If you guys think these prices will go down in the future let me know.

20.55: HNL-->SFO (new Hawaii 777 BusinessFirst layout) connecting to 7.05: SFO-JFK (PS BusinessFirst)
Ticket price = $1269 each + $250 upgrade copay + 45k miles
x2 =
grand total of $3038 and 90k miles
You get PS Business for 6hrs each way and the new Hawaii 777 BusinessFirst for 5hrs each way and have a spare $2k to spend in Hawaii
....upgrades available on all those flights currently
