This sounds like a Financial Review. Most likely the Account Manager will ask you to submit an IRS form 4506-T which allows them to verify your income. See the Wikipost of this thread:

In general, American Express is much more interested in your verifiable ability to pay (income) than in how you spend your money, but buying instruments which are readily convertible into cash (gift cards) makes all issuers uneasy.
Oh my! hopefully not.....
It's strange, since I paid off all my balance right away after I did MS.
Just called the number she gave me and the office is closed, I pressed "1" to be transferred to general customer rep, the rep also didn't want to talk the reason why my accounts are disabled and insist that I speak with the account manager at her business hours, I told her why she cannot help me and she said she is in different department, then I asked her what department that the account manager in then, she said it's a financial review department.
I am anxious now, when I applied for the card I said that I make 65k annually while I only make 45k (I know..I know...my bad...sorry.....but at that time I was just scared not get approved and even I said this amount I still get approved with very small credit limit). I got my SPG personal with credit limit of $2000 and biz with limit of $3000. I did some MS on both of card and paid off the balance, so why the financial review....it's not necessary as I am not a potential customer who cannot pay the credit card since I already paid it off.
What can I do now and what will happen if I say I made 45k? will both of my SPG got closed? since the credit limit is low already. What can I say to the account manager to keep both of my account open?
