I cannot understand why the last JFK-SFO flights are so early. You can't finish work in NYC at normal time, go to the airport and get a flight. You have to leave work early. It's madness. But leaving after midnight is somewhat extreme. It would only work if they left at 1am and flew very slow, thus delaying arrival until say 5am
