I didn't even know that AS was an eligible airline for Amex fee reimbursement. If they are, then I'd suspect the upgrades are eligible. But, you may have to try and be willing to not have them reimbursed if you really want it.
AS is eligible.

I'm not sure about this item though depending on the cost.
