My experience has been Americans returning to America, and Canadians returning to Canada, experience some of the toughest questioning.
As a Canadian I have returned many times to Canada and would not
consider the following tough questions...
"Why are you coming back?"
"Where to you plan on going?"
They do seem rather silly questions give I am a Canadian.
"I am coming back because I am Canadian."
"Not sure yet, I may revisit all the provinces and territories."
