While I love Tokyo and i think you should spend as much time there as possible, I prefer Osaka over Kyoto. There are so much to do in Osaka (and it is the 2nd largest city in Japan) especially now Grand Front Osaka is completed. And if you love food, Osaka is definitely a better city to be in than Kyoto. Not to mention the cat cafe, the petting zoo, Shinsaibashi, Shrines.
