I see the biggest issue is when you charge something to your room there is no verification. So when the front deal clerk says "Mr Smith you are in room 317" someone listening in can not charge to your room. I like the resorts that swipe your room key for a charge - solves for this.

I think there are some security concerns but in my mind this risk is crimes of opportunity so these risks are negligible and if someone is out to do you harm they will find a way.
