This certainly sounds like a pain and I'm sorry to hear this. From reading your post, it seems like you've already done all the right things and sound pretty calm and level-headed about this. Some people throw out all the toys very quickly. A few questions for you:
- how long are you in Australia?
- I presume this is your outbound flight?
- have you contacted your travel insurance provider to get compensation for the (so far) delay?
- are you in touch with a consistent person at Menzies who can take ownership of this situation?
AB is pretty useless at this, and I hope Ethiad is a bit more proactive. Sometimes it can take a few days longer, especially given the distances.
