I'm definitely not expecting to get reservations at this point, based on all I've gathered from those who'd be in a better position to help me obtain them; though I'd be pleasantly surprised and ecstatic if it somehow worked out serendipitously.

Yoshitakes' calendar opens Oct. 1st and I've requested lunch seating there, in addition to the request at Saito. I've also got The Pen trying for Sawada as a backup. I know that we'll get into at least one or two of these places, although Saito really would have been my first pick. I've heard that some travellers have tried for years without luck. Oh well... we won't go hungry on this trip, that's for sure!
