Le Caprice and the Wolseley - it's like Hyacinth Bucket up for a pre-theatre deal in this thread!

If you're in the West End and want good but laid back:
Pollen Street Social (but also Little Social opposite and Social Eating Club, aka Poland St Social)
Berners Tavern
Chiltern Firehouse for drinks. Ham Yard also has a new courtyard
Barrafina - there's a new one Adelaide St
Green Man & French Horn
Hawksmoor - if you've never been to one
Polpo - if you've never been to one
Yauatcha
Bodega Negra - upstairs cafe/bar, good fun
Bob Bob Ricard
Blanchette
Ember Yard (my vote for 2014)

all of those are within a 5 min walk of one another. Countless more about, even just in the Marylebone and Fitzrovia areas of W1 alone. Mayfair skip for a laidback vibe. Cafe Murano good though.
