PayPal causes so many headaches, I wish they would get rid of it as a payment method.

If they search the exact flights you booked with your last name and didn't find anything, then there is nothing there. A supervisor doesn't have any other tools to search by that a regular CSR has, so that won't really help. Since it has been more than a few hours you could have them try to search again. There is a separate accounting system that they all have access to and they can try to see if anything was booked under your name on the date you tried to book the reservation. If there is nothing there by now, nothing went through.
