Is saving $216 worth it to book a codeshare vs operating carrier flight number?

So, with the European sale going on, I noticed that for me it only works if the European portion operated by LH is booked with a UA codeshare flight number. So, that way, it books all the way in K, whereas if I book the European portion with an LH flight number, I get S/T. The fare difference is $216 more if booked with LH flight number, and therefore avoiding the codeshare ($967.20 with codeshare flight numbers vs $1,183.20 all operating carrier flight numbers)

So, my question: Is saving $216 worth it to book a codeshare, and potentially have issues from this? I don't plan on upgrading the itinerary, so I presume the biggest issues arising from booking a codeshare would be schedule changes and IRROPS?

I am thinking it is probably not worth it, but I wanted to see what you think.
