Wembley is another good property that is a tube ride from the City Centre. The tube map is quite deceiving as it looks much further out whereas it's really only about 20 minutes to Kings Cross on the Met.
Only issue with Wembley is events at the stadium can at times push the rate up, if there is nothing on rates are usually quite good and the property is still new.
Agreed, find it a really good base for London and if touring the surrounding area, especially if you have a car as the car park next door is very convenient and residents get a discounted rate of £15 per night. You can get some great sale rates here.
