2nd long haul international flight in the past 3 weeks and I noticed that
Delta is taking meal orders differently. I am a Diamond and flew revenue
BizElite and had my meal preference taken first. Not sure all the flight
attendants follow this policy but it's a step in the right direction.

Yes, I did experience this, but as a GM this was a downgrade for me. We were seated in row 3 partly in an attempt to be able to place an order that we wanted. I found it rude that the FA took orders from people all around me but then skipped me and with no explanation. I really did not like this as it made me feel ignored and not important to her. If Delta wants to make sure that their best customers get their choice, they should really start offering pre-ordered meals. Furthermore, in this scenario, a paid BE pax with no status could have their order taken after a medallion on an op-up.
