Singapore to Harare & Victoria Falls to Cape Town
Hello,
This is a very useful guide, thanks. I haven't seen anything mentioned about Singapore to Harare so I was hoping someone could shed some light.
I've got 2 questions about Johannesburg airport:
1)
Firstly I'm going from Singapore to Harare (via Johannesburg).
Singapore to Jo'burg is on Singapore Airlines, Jo'burg to Harare is on SAA. I've got 3hr45 transit in Jo'burg.
My itinerary says I arrive in Terminal A and depart from Terminal B (I have read in earlier messages that all international flights leave from Terminal A anyway and Terminal B is just where the check-in is though). Will I need to go through passport control at all in Johannesburg even though I am making an international connection?
Also, what is the procedure for checked baggage? In Singapore can they tag it directly through to Harare?
Or will I need to pick up my checked baggage in Johannesburg and then check it in again?
2)
A later leg is Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) to Cape Town (via Johannesburg).
Victoria Falls to Johannesburg and Johannesburg to Cape Town are both on SAA. I've got 2hr05 transit in Jo'burg.
Will I need to go through passport control in Johannesburg for this part of the journey?
And like before, can my checked baggage be tagged in Victoria Falls to go straight through to Cape Town? Or must I collect and re-check the baggage in Johannesburg?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
