I've been to Venice 5 times over the last 12 months as we recently got married in this wonderful city and had the pleasure at staying at all the big hotels.

My favourites are in the following order: Aman (although I did not like the GM - seemed very stuck up), Gritti Palace (wonderful place, I especially love their terrace) and Cipriani (although the rooms are not so great).

You might also want to check out Harry's Dolci instead of Harry's Bar (less touristy, lower prices and better atmosphere in my opinion)

I did not like Bauer or Danieli...
