Haven't found any information on this on the internet (or these forums), but I have set Delta as my earning preference on both Choice and Wyndham (mostly because I rarely use these chains and most likely will not earn any free nights before the points expire).

Both have now defaulted to earning hotel points, and Delta is not available in the list of partner airlines.
