This happened to the guy in front of me as I was queuing to get into the First lounge yesterday, but the lounge angel handled it perfectly, saying to the passenger, with a smile:
"Just one more floor for you sir. Behind you, along the corridor and up the escalator. Don't worry, you're nearly there."
The passenger wasn't a DYKWIA though, he headed towards the escalator.
She was lovely with me too, just felt so much an idiot! The Galleries North team were fab on the return leg sorting out some lost property for me. Lovely experience for a tired, stressed out traveller!
