Hmm I once tried to get into the GF lounge by mistake.
I knew where the North Lounges but had no idea about the South Lounges. By the time I'd found them, was a teensy bit stressed. Saw one end was the CCR so I knew not to go there. Stressed me turned around and headed to the GF lounge. Found my BP and gave it to the nice staff on entry and she politely pointed out the escalators upwards! I went even redder (which is quite hard as by that time was sweating, felt so hot and stressed) and quietly went upstairs...
I love flying but hate the before and after bits. After all of that the lounge was very busy and not relaxing ... First time I was in there, so took me a while to find what was what and where everything was. Loved the lovely lounge at IAD on the return though.
This happened to the guy in front of me as I was queuing to get into the First lounge yesterday, but the lounge angel handled it perfectly, saying to the passenger, with a smile:
"Just one more floor for you sir. Behind you, along the corridor and up the escalator. Don't worry, you're nearly there."
The passenger wasn't a DYKWIA though, he headed towards the escalator.
There was another staffer monitoring the queue and asked me "First or Club World?". I just smiled back "Gold" and he thanked me and moved on.
