This thread caused me to look again, and it is interesting to come back to this a year later, after year of "savvy" leadership from the Houston folks. Current market shares (1-6/14):

DL 15.68%
AA 15.5%
UA 15.23%
SW 11.22%
AS 5.84%
VX 4.78%
Skywest 3.46
US 2.97%

United is just getting killed. [Note the skywest figures are for both DAL and UAL]. Figures are here: http://www.lawa.org/uploadedfiles/LA...rrier-2014.pdf

And revenue is even worse. For the same period the revenue figures were:

AA 16.68%
DL 15.36%
SW 12.33%
UA 11.7%
Skywest 10.94%
VX 4.79%
AS 4.65%
US 2.15%
American Eagle 2%

DL is at 13x E75.
The United draw down of LAX is very pronounced. SFO-LAX has seen less cuts than other routes, but United is quickly getting chased out of LAX by superior airlines.
