I've just flown Economy from Munich to Abu Dhabi last week but upon asking at check-in was surprised I wasn't given access to the Atlantic/Europa Lounge (Etihad Partner lounge). Contacted EY through Twitter and was told that Gold members can only use Etihad Business Class Lounges only. I asked again for confirmation whether this applies to Munich only (EY does not have its own lounge in MUC) or is it a new policy throughout its network but haven't receive any replies.

I've checked EY website and listed below Etihad's own lounges in the following cities:

Abu Dhabi
Dublin
Frankfurt
London LHR
Manchester
Paris
Sydney
Washington DC

Has anyone else (Gold or Silver members) been refused entry to any of Etihad's partner lounges lately? I hope Etihad is not revoking this access since this is one of the reasons I fly with them (approx. 80k tier miles per year all in economy).
