Electric Knife Sharpener (Relatively small blades) in hand luggage?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience bringing an electric knife sharpener in their hand luggage. I'm specifically looking at this one: http://www.amazon.com/KitchenIQ-5000...6978608&sr=1-5 as I have an Amex promo for $20 statement credit for orders of $20+ from Amazon. I'd be buying it in the USA and taking it on the JFK-LHR leg only.

I can't find anything about the actual blade size, but the whole thing is only 4.3 x 2.1 x 5.9 inches, so maybe it would be okay??

I suppose I could just try to take it through and if I get rejected then just check the bag, but I hate waiting around T5 as much as the rest of you do.

Thanks in advance for any wisdom you may have.
