I stayed 3-4 weeks after it opened for one night.
It has the potential to be good, but wasn't yet.
Some issues were teething pains for a new hotel (no light bulb in the light above the desk, no room service menu in the room, no clock in the room, etc.). There was supposed to be an iPad that maybe would have covered things like room service ordering, but that wasn't in the room either.
On the plus side, the pool area will be beautiful when it's ready next summer. The breakfast is great (buffet or menu as a platinum), the rooms are very modern (if you like that).
Compared to the Marriott, the Renaissance's lounge is more formal, but it had fewer options. The rooms are a little smaller. There are no bathtubs in standard rooms. There are a lot fewer suites for possible upgrades.
