16" is the problem, as that makes Embraer bins REALLY tough, if possible at all. I have an older 16" wide tumi and I can only get it into Embraer 190 bins if the handle is in, and then just barely. Also, they look significantly bulkier than the international version, so I'd say you're more likely to have it flagged by an agent.
