paradigm doesn't seem to have shifted...
Relative just got #6 (the 60k one, for what it's worth after having all 100k's before). Instant approved*.
Had a good number of pulls from Citi (obviously!) and other lenders, and that didn't seem to have make a difference.
I mention this because there has been some speculation Citi has adjusted the dial to make it harder to get these recently, particularly with a large number of pulls in the last 6 months or less.
* I know there's a debate about how long Citi credit lines will stay locked-up (which could kick it to a manual process if not enough CL available, and make it harder to get approved). Relative had a HUGE line from the #5 card. After getting bonus, SM'd Citi to reduce line by a 5-digit amount in case this would free up credit for #6 getting auto-approved. Not saying correlation means causation, but I don't see how lowering lines hurts for future applications at least.
