This would be my thinking too. May not work if you're not close to a station or can't open the doors which I expect you can't. That's why I liked the old slam-door trains.
And that just lengthens the length of the delay for everyone because they won't start the trains up again if they know people are on the tracks.
Happened to me once where the length of the delay from people deciding to get off to walk on the tracks was far longer than the original one (again due to a fatality on the line)
