This would be my thinking too. May not work if you're not close to a station or can't open the doors which I expect you can't. That's why I liked the old slam-door trains.
The OP's train is not stuck at a station, nor is there any prospect of having the train moved to a station. (I'm looking at it on an internal rail industry system).
You cannot alight from the train anywhere except at a station.
