I booked a hotel online got the email confirmation and 3 months later get an email informing me that the reservation will be cancelled if not paid in full. In other words a peak weekend and somebody forgot to change the program. Like most who seem to post here I have been around the block a few times and have been a diamond with Hilton for 7-8 years in a row.

I have begun cancelling reservations and rebooking. Starwood seems like a better program. Certainly a better points exchange to AA. I'm just pissed

that since I made that reservation I have had 25 stays...since February.
First of all, welcome to FT.
Does your email confirmation indicate you must pay a certain number of days prior to arrival? If not, Hilton should honor the confirmation.
