I like the 24 hour limit by BA. The one I struggle with is KLM who open OLCI at 30 hours before the flight. It means that check in for an early flight opens in the wee small hours.

In the vast majority of cases, people are likely to be awake at T-24 (or T-48 etc) so it seems like a good choice.
