…posted this in reply to a delay on another thread, but I recently experienced a comedy of errors on a recent BA 747 to SFO from LHR.

* 80 minute delay due to a technical fault on the first Jumbo. We were switched to another one that had just landed from Boston (luckily we hadn't boarded the first).

* Boarded to hear from the pilot that there was a discrepancy with the paperwork, re: fuel. Sat for 2hours before we pulled back from the gate as they tried to verify what fuel was onboard the plane. "We think some fuel was put on the plane when it landed from Boston"
