Wow. Missing two flights in a day. That takes skill. After the first missed flight, I'd be so paranoid that I'd never leave the gate area, especially after having jumped through hoops to get this one flight that wasn't easy to get.

At least you learned some lessons: don't take time estimates as fact, and never leave the gate area.
