I guess I find it odd though that this appears "all of a sudden". I know I've looked at UA 777's in the past and row 2 was always 4 seats.
They still have 4 seats... those two just aren't available to be picked.
Me thinks the change is due to some recent reports of people picking those seats when they really weren't available. UA made a software change to try and prevent that from happening.
