I think this has promise and I view it as an enhancement to the Diamond VIP Advance Check-in function (although I very much understand the IT skepticism since that only seems to work some of the time and its not as expansive as this new system). My big question is what happens if you don't take advantage of this feature. Do you automatically get shuffled down to less and less attractive rooms (aka first floor next to the dumpster) if you just show up at the hotel and check in regular.
