Just wanted to update this thread... We just got back from a stay at the FS in a deluxe one bedroom suite (we were upgraded from the standard 1 bdrm as we booked through Jessica at Brownell who is a Virtuoso agent). Service was absolutely excellent. Concierges in particular were fabulous in their suggestions and willingness to help. The room was lovely, but not at all like the floor plan indicated on the website, if that matters. The decor was updated, although with a subdued olive tone rather than the purple displayed in the photos. But very tasteful and very nice. Very happy with stay, would definitely go back. I have to say, for our first time in Chicago, we were very impressed with the city--there is so much to do, and the Chicago Art Institute museum in particular blew us away. Alinea was amazing too. We will return. Likely the next time I can get a reservation at Alinea! And for those that care, the shopping is very good too--oh to have the income of a Russian oligarch...
