Having just addressed this issue for a customer where I work, credits can take a long time to show up at your bank. We swiped the card on Saturday and batched out that night. The credit was not showing by noon on Monday for the customer. Our merchant processor does not show any rejection of the credit and suggested the customer contact their bank to see if they show it as a memo post (pending posts should show online). It's funny how charges show within seconds, but trying to get money back can be weeks.

I also found out last week that pending posts at our bank may go away for a few days before being hard posted. So if you should happen to miss the day(s) it shows as pending, you don't know if it's there. When I called I was told that it is showing as a memo post and that's the way it works and that "it's not possible to change the software". Seem to be hearing that way too much lately. It's at that point I politely terminate the conversation and escalate to someone that is capable of taking a problem report.

The point here is the property may have done all they can do and it's now up to your bank to process the transaction.
