My strategy to beat the Business taxes is to simply fly out of AMS when doing business in LHR/CDG. There's a very nice overnight cruise on stenaline that I take from London to the Netherlands. It includes your own room, huge dining options, and a quick train ride to Amsterdam Centraal (or you can go straight to the AMS airport). From Paris? Trains!
