DUB is a nice choice especially if you were going to connect in the US anyways since Irish air travel taxes are lower, you get to do US preclearance at DUB, it's one of the cheapest destinations from the UK, and it's not taking you far out of your way.
France has the air passenger solidarity tax. It's ten times higher for Business than Economy... but still only 45 Euro.
