I would check first with DHL, UPS & FedEx about shipping that extra heavy case and depending on value of its content, insured it fully as it might come out cheaper.

Otherwise, none of the carriers will accept anything in excess of 32 kg/70 lbs or 45 kg/100 lbs, even when it's 75" in overall size only. AA's over-size/weight rules apply - $150 + $450 = $600 per 75 lbs (split into 2 smaller case ??) or $1,200 to bring them along. http://www.aa.com/i18n/travelInforma...versize-weight

Friend of mine relocating to the States from CN used a specialized freight forwarder & they handled all the customs/paperwork, etc. - it wasn't exactly cheap, and the shipping service dealt with CA cargo. Consider re-routing as others said on a more direct routing to see if you can take advantage of using the allowance for a 2nd. free baggage allowance to bring those gears, and pay extra for the 3rd. one (Pelican) as being oversized and overweight, but under 100 lbs.

Lastly, ship some of the clothing (really, you can buy new ones in PEK also) instead & carry the basics/essentials as a Ninja for the first week - and use the free allowance for those electronics.
