Very surprised to hear this. At HH Bethesda, we presented a Groupon for a 3-course meal for 2 (great value, highly recommended when it becomes available again), and the waiter advised us how to maximize the value of the Groupon, allowed substitutions, and didn't even come close to giving us DC's infamous Groupon cold shoulder. Maybe that's one of the reasons HH scores highly in my book.
