Bangkok has amazing nightlife and I'm not referring to the sleazy type, the classy stuff. You're going to have to leave the tourist beat and go to the local "high-end" kinda places, there's nice bars, restaurants, clubs. My favourite place in town is actually a jazz/rock bar, good crowd, good music and a great place to socialise.

Hong Kong is better, fantastic nightlife, great restaurants and bars, I don't like the clubs there much, I still prefer Singapore but that's probably because it's where I'm the most comfortable.

Shanghai is another place that's great, better bars than clubs. Even the best of clubs can be quite physically rough.

I can recommend every single place on this list, a couple have closed though. I usually link this to visitors to Singapore looking for good nightlife.
