I try to do at least one weekend trip someplace warm - ideally the Caribbean - every winter. So far I've done Key West (Hyatt CC Certs), western Puerto Rico (CY Aguadilla on Marriott points), southern Califonia (HI points) and have the Fairmont Mayakoba booked for this winter. Seems like the Hilton Reserve certs would be perfect for this type of weekend trip -but the exclusion list is long, and the Hilton options in the Carribbean aren't that great in the first place. I'm thinking The Bentley Miami Beach, or one of the Puerto Rico (Caribe Hilton, El San Juan Resort, El Conquistador) hotels might be options... but I've been to both Miami and Puerto Rico recently, and I'm not super excited about any of the properties - any other ideas? I'd like to have couple of hotels in mind before I get the card. I'd probably include it in a churn this winter.
